Garganega
Garganega is Italy’s sixth most planted white grape. It’s most commonly used as a key blend grape to make Gambellara wine and the widely popular Soave wine that rose to fame in the 1960’s and 1970’s for its sweet taste and affordable price.
Although Soave wine is a favourite in Italy and is widely known by wine lovers, it is often the Garganega grape that is forgotten. The wine is a light-bodied wine that delivers fruity flavours including white plum, pear, almond and citrus.
Garganega wine pairs well with seafood and other light dishes including pasta and pizza.
