Verdelho
Verdelho is a light-bodied white wine that can often contain flavours of gooseberry, pineapple, ginger, honeydew melon and Brazil nut.
The grape is widely grown throughout Portugal, and it is estimated that at one point in time it was the most popular planted grape in Madeira.
Australia has successfully adopted the Verdelho grape and is adored for the strong flavours of lime and honeysuckle. You can find the grape planted in popular W.A wine region - Swan Valley.
Verdelho has medium to high acidity levels and usually has an alcohol level between 13.5 - 15%.
