Our first masterclass of 2018 and what a cracker it is from one of our well loved Campbeltown distilleries. KILKERRAN from the MITCHELL’S GLENGYLE DISTILLERY is well known as the newest, old distillery in Campbeltown.
Established in 1872 but sold in 1919 and then closed in 1925 was purchased back by the family in 2004, they have been producing a range of whiskies known as 'Work in Progress' since then which showcase how the whiskies were developing in lead up to the eagerly awaited 12 year old which was launched in 2016.
We are excited to host David Allen from KILKERRAN/GLENGYLE in store for a whisky adventure where he will discuss the history of Kilkerran while we taste the future of it! Only 2 of the whiskies which we will be trying are currently available in the Australian retail market them being the 12 year old and 8 year old cask strength the rest will all be whiskies which David will be bringing over and never tried here before!
