Whisky Overview:
The Amrut Spectrum 50% is acclaimed to be one of the most unique whiskys in the world. Matured for 3 years in aged barrels previously used to make bourbon, it is then matured in barrel made of 5 different types of wood. As a result, the Amrut Spectrum is loaded with an array of aromas like raisins, rum, nougat, figs, oranges, tiramisu, cocoa, caramel, coffee dried fruit and burnt rubber. The impact on the palate is no exception, with a delightful combination of sherry, rum, butterscotch, chocolate, prunes, molasses, pecans, walnuts, almonds and English wine gum. This whisky is not for the faint-hearted because it leave heavy notes of caramelised almonds, old cognac, apricots and Brazil nuts as a complex, lasting after-taste.
