Jim Beam uses a unique method to deliver Devil’s Cut, a full-bodied 80 proof bourbon. Typically, when bourbon is finished ageing and has been emptied from the barrel, some bourbon remains stored inside the wood. This is commonly referred to as “Devil’s Cut”.
Jim Beam decided that this bourbon is too good to remain in the wood, so they use a proprietary process to extract it. Once the bourbon has been removed from the wood, it is then blended with well-aged bourbon which creates the aroma-rich Devil’s Cut.
To best enjoy the rich oak flavours, Devil’s Cut is best enjoyed on the rocks or neat. If you require a softer tasting experience, it pairs nicely with a cola mixer.
