In 1926, KWV became one of the first producers of brandy in South Africa’s Cape Province. In the same year, the brandy would be exported to the UK.
The popular brandy would survive some tough times in the early nineteenth century. It withstood declining sales during WWII and a huge fire to their cellars in 1942 which left them with only one remaining brandy barrel.
