The new Lupulin Hop Gin was born from our undying love for both the delicious traditional West Coast IPA style beer as well as a never-ending desire to distil new and exciting gins that will astound excite gin lovers everywhere.
As brewers & distillers, we have had a lot of history distilling beers to create ground-breaking and delicious spirits, from our Beer Whisky to our Bier de Vie. Taking the idea one step further, rather than barrel ageing or having a neat spirit by itself, we thought why not make a beer-based gin?
Our Brewers crafted a big, hoppy West Coast IPA, and our distiller set about crafting a gin using the distilled IPA spirit.
The resulting Gin delivers the fruity & floral notes many beer drinkers will recognize from their favourite hops, but also a unique banana/pear drop flavour that was unlocked through the fermentation and distilling process.
We were delighted at how well this combination brought together the two groups – The Lupulin Hop Gin is an experience for gin drinkers like never before, and it’s a gin to convert even the most stubborn of beer drinkers across to spirits.
As such a unique spirit, overflowing with character and deliciousness, it’s hard not to sound biased when we talk about it!
