Hendricks Gin can trace its origins back to 1860, London. It was this year that the first Bennet still was made, and would pave the way for the legend of Hendricks to begin.
Take note of the name William Grant. In 1886, Grant and his 9 children would form a distillery in Scotland using the Bennet still.
Almost 70 years later the Carter-Head Still would be created. The Carter-Head Still and the Bennet Still would soon become an important part of Hendricks Gin.
In 1966, Charles Gordon, the great grandson of William Grant (1886) purchased the Carter-Head Still and the Bennet Still at an auction. Two extremely rare stills!
Charles Gordon would take more than 30 years of developing a process using the Carter-Head Still and the Bennet Still in conjunction with one another to deliver a truly unique flavoursome gin.
Hendricks Gin uses a combination of botanical ingredients. You will notice strong aromas of cucumber and rose petals. Other popular gin flavours like coriander, cubeb berry, lemon and orange peel are used to create an explosion of flavours.
