Whisky Overview:
The Glengyle Distillery Kilkerran 8 Year Old is a new cask strength Kilkerran, a lightly peated Campbeltown malt which is non chill filtered and has no added colouring. Drawn from 100% x-bourbon casks, to compensate for its youth you get to enjoy this at natural strength.
Tasting notes:
Colour: Yellow gold.
Aroma: A sweetness of vanilla is well accompanied by a delightful light peat & citrus notes.
Palate: Upfront peat & lovely delicious saltiness with that certain vanilla profile coming through. All these profiles are accompanied by some lively fruit driven notes
Finish: The peat continues with a slight aniseed note.
Alcohol Percentage: 56.2%.
