Michel Couvreur was a Belgian producer of whisky. His story began as a producer/trader of Burgundy wine from 1951 to 1978. Towards the end of 1971 he would begin studying the art of whisky distilling.
Couvreur would go on to specialise in the creation of rare whiskeys developed by bere barley methods, which involved low yield barley.
Part of what makes Michel Couvreur whiskey so special is that 90% of the whiskey comes from the barrel, with only 10% from the distillation process.
The Candid is a blended malt whisky aged in Burgundy sherry oak casks. It delivers a well-rounded, sweet malt whiskey with soft notes of liquorice.
You will be pleasantly surprised by the fruity aromas the whiskey emits, topped off with a smooth smoke finish.
