Inspired by the Isle of Islay in Scotland, the Botanist Islay Gin is developed using 22 native plants that embody the stunning complexities of the Scottish Isle.
The Isle of Islay is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and is ideal for rich land to grow local botanics. These botanics are harvested by the Botanist team to use in their gin recipe. Some ingredients include orris root, cassia bank, and coriander seed, which are beloved ingredients in many popular dry gins.
Once all the ingredients are ready to go, they’re distilled slowly through a “simmer” method using a Lomond pot-still. This slow distillery method allows the natural ingredients to be delicately released, accentuating the full-bodied aromas throughout the gin.
It takes 17 hours for Botanist Islay Gin to be distilled. The culmination is a lush, botanical infused gin, that encapsulates the beauty of the Isle of Islay.
