Auchentoshan Three Wood Lowland Single Malt 43% 700ml

Whisky Overview: 

The Auchentoshan Three Wood is a delightful single malt expression. It has inherited the signature smooth taste, which are characteristic of Auchentoshan malts. The Three Wood is matured in American Bourbon oak and left to finish in Spanish Olorosso and Pedro Ximenez casks. For a whisky, is has rich top notes of dark fruits, thick butterscotch and roasted hazelnuts, which give it a nutty lasting impression. 

Tasting notes:

Colour: Light Tawny.

Aroma: A fruity/citrus nose with blackfruits & orange being dominant & a slight sultana hint.   

Palate: Sweet & nutty with a slight cinnamon spice. A sweet caramel note compliments the fruity palate making it quite full & complex.  

Finish: Fruity with a vanilla oak sweetness.

Alcohol Percentage: 40%.
