Whisky Overview:
The Kilchoman 100% Islay 6th Edition was first launched in 2010, and it's the perfect reflection of the company's original vision of a 'Farm' distillery: all parts of the production process take place on site. Everything from the barley which is grown, malted to its distillation, aging and bottling is done on-site. The casks used for aging are both fresh and refill x-Bourbon barrels, which give it a light and fresh feel.
About Kilchoman:
Kilchoman (Pronounced as Kilhoman) was established in 2005 and is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland. It was the first distillery to be built on the Island for 125 years and is based on a farm on the rugged west coast of Islay. They are known for their deep-tasting flavors, from maturation in both Bourbon and Sherry casks which have won them acclaim internationally.
