Whisky Overview:
Kilchoman Machir Bay (pronounced as Kilhoman) is a spectacular, fine-tasting single malt expression. It is matured to perfection in a combination of both Bourbon and Sherry casks, which contributes to its depth of flavour. The Machir Bay is a well-balanced combination of rich tropical fruit, peat smoke, light vanilla and intense sweetness.
Tasting notes:
Colour: Pale gold.
Aroma: A refined & elegant peat smoke with a more dominant citrus & vanilla nose.
Palate: An initial burst of wonderful tropical fruit with a subtle spice & citrus note. The peat then opens up to add another level of complexity.
Finish: A slight pepper spice with a sweet sherry influence.
Alcohol Percentage: 46%.
About Kilchoman:
Kilchoman (Pronounced as Kilhoman) was established in 2005 and is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland. It was the first distillery to be built on the Island for 125 years and is based on a farm on the rugged west coast of Islay. They are known for their deep-tasting flavors, from maturation in both Bourbon and Sherry casks which have won them acclaim internationally.
