Limeburners proudly boast the title of being the first Western Australian distillery to legally make single malt whisky. Cameron Syme created Limeburners in 2004, and in 2008 the first single malt whisky was released.
The whisky would prove to be a great success for Cameron Syme. Within one month the whisky had completely sold out. Limeburners Port Cask went on to receive a bronze medal at the highly regarded International Wine & Spirits competition in London.
There was no slowing Limeburners down. In 2015 and 2016 they collected the title of ‘Australia's Champion Whisky’, and also ‘Champion Australian Distiller’.
The Limeburners Port Cask is an exceptional blend of whisky. The aging process takes place in old bourbon casks and is finished off in Australian port casks.
