Since 1978 Michel Couvreur has established himself as a premier producer of whisky in Burgundy, France.
Their range of whiskies are aged deep in the undergrounds of the Bouze-les-Beaune cellars which offer a variety of dry and damp locations best suited to different spirits.
The Couvreur Fleeting is a spectacular malt whisky that delivers a warm, mature taste. The whisky is aged for at least 10 years before being placed into recycled port casks to mature for another 5 years. This allows for a strong taste of port to occur in the Couvreur Fleeting which separates it from other malt whiskies.
Michel Couvreur passed away in 2013, but his family and cellar-master continue to develop high quality whisky based on their house motto: Virtute et Opera, meaning ‘courage and toil’.
